Main Gas Shutoff Valves
Manually operated main gas shutoff valves are used as part of a gas appliance for turning the main gas burner on and off. Typically, they are turned on when an appliance is put into service and turned off to shut the appliance down. All of these valves operate with a ¼ turn of the handle from fully open to fully closed. Port configurations are available for pipe and tubing in sizes from 1/8″ up to 1.25″. Maximum operating pressure is 0.5 psig. Some models offer side ports, providing convenient access to check line pressure or to run a pilot line. Operating temperatures range from 32°F (0°C) to 350°F (176°C). Most models are design-certified by Canadian Standards Association (CSA) for use in the U.S. and Canada.
